No training wheels!

Look at big man Nathan go! He decided he would take off the training wheels and off he went! And, yes, he busted his eye when he tripped going up the stairs...thought it might be a black eye this morning, but it's not!

Country Fair at the Heritage Center

We had a wonderful Saturday at the Heritage Center in Townsend! We hadn't ever been there before, but it was full of fun stuff to do!

Petting ducks, hens, cows, and sheep...sitting in an outhouse...seeing real log cabins...watching weaving and quilting...learning to weave...making a handkerchief doll...feeling what an old time bed feels like...watching cornbread be made over a fire...eating homemade ice cream...watching a field be cut by a man and a horse...looking at a old time saw mill...riding a pony...listening to mountain music...and seeing the Hitsons there too! Everyone enjoyed it!

A few more pictures....

Firefighter Nathan!

Katie Grace and Felicity!...We found out you can get the mini American Girl dolls much more reasonably than the big ones! Notice they both have ponytails and purple dresses!
We got a roundabout for Nathan's track...it was bothering him that the trains couldn't turn around!
Big Man Silas with his big boy shoes on! Nathan really wanted him to wear them! They are Riley Roos...suggested by Sawyer's mommy for being really good and soft and bendy and stays on!
Sweet kiddos off to church!

Songburst Choir!

The Songburst choir sang for Jesus last night at church! In order from left to right are...Blake(new to church), Austin(the youth minister's son), Nathan(the sweet boy!), Katelyn(lives at the top of our street), Bridget, Jenna, Lily(our good friend), Kristen(was in my 3 year old Sunday School class while I was pregnant and LOVES Silas), Anna(of the Kings!)....Ms. Kim does a spectacular job with these kiddos!

Progress!

For those of you out of town that didn't see Silas' sore when it was bad, here's the progress...the first two pictures were August 8th...the second two are September 20th...the scab on the sore fell completely off Saturday!!! We did the happy no scab dance! Yes, the hemangioma is still there and still big, but the scab that we were most concerned about is so much better!!! Praise the Lord! We'll continue with the laser treatments to keep on getting the hemangioma smaller, but the scab is gone and we pray that another doesn't come!

Finally!

I've had my eye on brother's train for weeks now, and I finally made it over to it! Mom and Dad feel sorry for Nathan and will have to figure out a good spot for him to do his train so I won't get to it and destroy it...Life is fun!

Watch out!

Well, our lives have officially changed now!
Silas is MOBILE!
He's scooting along this morning!
He's so excited!!!

The Boys!

Nathan and Silas are playing on the pullout bed...Nathan says his verse he learned at Mom's Day Out...sweet boys!

Snaggletooth!

Katie Grace has been wiggled her top front tooth for what seems like months! Well, on Tuesday, she got a bit of help from a classmate's head! "We just were walking and bumped!" So, the loose tooth became VERY loose, and she pulled it at school on Wednesday! She's so proud...she's been working on that one a long time! That's number five now!

The girls doing girly things!

Katie Grace has been poring over the American Girls catalog and said that she decided that since the dolls were so expensive, she would make her own! These are Julie, Ivy, Ruthie, Kit, Addy, Nellie, Samantha, Emily, and Molly! Julie and Molly are real dolls that she's renamed, and all the others are ones that she has drawn on white paper, colored, cut out, and put popsicle sticks on the back...
